Solo.  The night event at Chattanooga State went well.  There was a car show early in the day at Sears which doubled Sear’s business and they were so grateful they gave the Region door prizes (very nice ones) for the evening event.  Then was the Big-Wheel Race which had five entries and was enjoyed by all.  The actual Solo event was a huge success and lasted after 2:00 AM.

Acura-Legend event was July 4th weekend with a good turnout and much interest.

Needs are for full-face helmets as they need replacing.  Troy will donate one soon.  Trophies also need to be replaced and there are only four (4) radios that still work.

Next event at Dade County on July 26th.

Street Survival School will be held Setp. 13.  Need workers and instructors, registration is open online and there needs to be promotion of the event.

Also need cones; PA System & FM modulator.  Casey and Ray will be donating equipment soon.

RallyCross:  Good event – with 9 participants.

Road Racing.  Heart of Dixie was a success with 80 cars and 100 plus drivers.  The committee wants it to be held again.

Discussion was held when to have the next Road Race with June 26, 27, and 28 tentatively agreed as a test day on Friday and double event on Saturday and Sunday.

David McDaniel moved that the event would hold a Test Day, Double SARRC and Enduro.  Gerald Street seconded.  Discussion held and motion superceded as follows:  David McDaniel moved that the event would consist of a Friday Test Day; Saturday race and Enduro and PDX and Sunday race.  Gerald Street seconded.  Motion passed.

It was decided to have the same Committee run the event as they do it so very well.

Bob Forsten, Chattanooga Region’s Flag Chief has asked that we look for a new flag chief as he wants to slow down.  Discussion held on possible individuals, particularly Miles and/or Eden Phillips of the Alabama Region.

Old Business.   None.

New Business.  Scott Dobler provided information on the possible awards (glasses, mugs, etc.).  After discussion, David McDaniel moved to give Scott Dobler a budget of $600 to procure glasses (including shipping and handling).  Bill Perry seconded.  Motion passed.
