For racers and workers that will come from the South by way of Interstate 24: The Bonnaroo Festival will be held off I-24 near Manchester, Tennessee from Thursday, June 12 until 11:30 PM, Sunday, June 14. It is a huge music event so expect some slowing of traffic in the area. Traffic Reports are to be on WFTZ, 101.5 FM. Motels in the Murphreesboro area may be busy due to Bonnaroo, so we suggest you consider motels in the Lebanon, Tennessee area. On the Chattanooga Region web site: www.rivergate5speed.com/scca, under race information, see Amenities and Amenities 2 for information on facilities available in Lebanon, including motels, restaurants, auto parts, etc. Paddock Parking on Friday There will be a Drag Race and Show-n-Shine in the infield at Nashville Superspeedway on Friday night, June 13. As SCCA has exclusive use of the Garage Paddock Area and the Campgound Area during the Drag Races, this will have a minimal impact on our activities Friday. Spectators and entrants for the Drag Races will be entering through the tunnel as will SCCA participants. Entrance for Drag Racers and spectators will open at 6 PM. To make it easier for our participants who arrive earlier, Paddock Parking and the Campground will be open at 2 PM (Supps say 5 PM). This will allow those able to arrive early to totally avoid the Drag Race traffic. For those who arrive after the Drag Race gates open, at the Tunnel entrance, you will be allowed to bypass the ticket sale/drag race registration by displaying your SCCA armband. The gate to the Campground will have a closed gate, but open it, let yourself in, then close it behind you, if you are staying there. The gate to the Paddock area surrounding the Garages will be manned during the Drag Races. SCCA participants will be allowed in and the gates closed behind them. If you arrive after the Drag Races, open the gate and let yourself in, then close the gate behind you. After you are parked in the campground or Paddock, you will have access to watch the Drag Races should you chose. Some SCCA racers may wish to enter the Drag Races. If so, see the rules at: www.nashvillesuperspeedway.com. Rules are few. Entry for the one-eighth mile drag is $20.
